For close to 10 years, I've been working in the capacity of a teacher. I hold licenses for teaching in the states of North Carolina and Florida.As for my academic background, I earned an undergraduate degree in elementary education from the University of North Carolina. While studying at the university, I started my tutoring career by assisting a diverse bunch of football and basketball student athletes. Even as I moved into teaching professionally, I continued working along with the athletic department at the post-secondary institution.The experience and expertise I've gained in the capacities of tutor and teacher of students representing various ages and skill levels has given me a knowledge base that will help me as I continue on with my career. In fact, I am now very adaptable, and can tailor my teaching style to match the learning styles of my students. I am available to tutor elementary and middle school math, ESL, reading, English, and pre-algebra. I can work with special education and gifted students, and help students of all levels with study skills, organization, and test preparation. When I have some downtime, I like hanging out with my dog, going to beaches, and doing yoga.
